About this blog

The subject of this blog site is history of dentistry in the U.S. Army. Anyone interested in the history of U.S. Army dentistry is welcome to post and participate in this blog. Especially welcome are those who have ever been a part of U.S. Army dentistry. Officers, NCOs, enlisted soldiers, civilians and family members can take pride in the support we have provided to our nation's Army, its soldiers and their families. Each of us has some part of Army history which will be lost if we don't share it.

Please post your remembrances

As the blog manager, I will be giving you access to as much of Army dental history as possible. It will be a work in progress, since I am pretty slow at getting information prepared. But the value would be so much greater, if you send your rememberances of places, events, equipment, people.

This is intended to be informational. I intend to recognize that different people hold different perceptions. When I was gathering information from dental veterans of the Vietnam era, I came to the realization that there were different Vietnams - depending on whether your vantage point was Saigon or Khe Sanh, 1965 or 1969, assigned to logistic area support or tactical unit support. Each person's report was not wrong or right, but different. I will resist trying to justify differences.
